Excellent list. I'd certainly look at some of the travel apps you've recommended here. I've been using Skype during my travels to keep in touch with my family and it's definitely a great application. I also opted for Wifi finder.

I'd just like to add "25 things to do in Amsterdam" by Rainbow Riders. Just came back from a vacation there and the app made my stay easier. I didn't bother planning my itinerary since the app already contains 25 of the best places to visit in Amsterdam, including the museums, restaurants, bars and clubs, etc; hence, the name 25 things to do in. It also has a map that works offline. If I'm not mistaken there are also "25 things to do in Boston" and "25 things to do in Milan." Those who are planning to visit these cities should download these travel applications.

Happy travels!

This is a much better list than I have seen on other sites.
That's a really good idea to get the WebMD app before going abroad; you never know.
I'd also add near2there.
www.near2there.com
I put all of the shops, restaurants, and sights I want to visit.
It gives me maps and directions.
When I get nearby a place, it alerts me so I don't forget.
It is like a "to go" list as opposed to a "to do" list.
